![]() Jung Yonghwa and Seohyun unable to avoid fans during cinema date In an upcoming episode, Jung Yonghwa and Seohyun will be going for a cinema date for We Got Married. The popular YongSeo couple had gone to watch the popular 3D movie, Avatar as a mission after the production team got to know through their interviews that they wanted to see the movie very much. Because of their busy schedules, both Yonghwa and Seohyun had no time to go to the cinemas so they were very happy to be given this mission. But their happy date became a rather troublesome one as they were spotted by eagle-eyed fans. Despite picking a pretty late timeslot to avoid crowds, fans still spotted them and uploaded pictures/videos of their date onto the internet. PD Kang expressed, “Fans would swarm around them as soon as they appear in public. Because of their status as top idol stars, fans would naturally show more concern for them. Be it at the bookstore, Insa-dong or amusement park, fan-taken pictures of their dates would surface almost immediately on the internet.” But PD Kang also praised the newest couple on the show, “It’s a beautiful sight just seeing them together. Seohyun is someone who would always make you smile regardless of what she says. Yonghwa would then go along with her by trying his best to accomodate her and lead her during their dates.” Labels: Cnblue, Cnblue : News, Snsd, Snsd : News |

CNBLUE’s street concert performances, covers 2NE1 and Wonder Girls ![]() Last week we reported that the boys of CNBLUE would hold a street concert performance at COEX Fountain Square on February 28th… and perform they did. The performances were all with live instruments as they wanted to prove that they aren’t a fake band. I never thought they were a fake band, I always thought they were very talented and these street concert performances prove that. My favorite performance was their cover of 2NE1’s I Don’t Care and the Wonder Girls Nobody: Im a Loner : Harder to Breathe : Just Please : Let's get Restarted : Labels: Cnblue, Cnblue : News |

Seohyun and Yonghwa bring a new image to We Got Married. That’s how Jung Yoon Jung, the PD of We Got Married described the new Jung Yonghwa – Seohyun couple. CNBLUE’s Jung Yonghwa and SNSD gal Seohyun’s first episode will be broadcast on the 27th. At 20 years old and 18 years old, the two make the youngest couple in We Got Married history. PD Jung said, “Although they are a young couple, when they met, I saw a man and a woman. The two of them really bring a character that really hasn’t been seen in ‘We Got Married’ before.” Regarding Seohyun, Jung said, “Lots of people were curious as to what Seohyun’s image would be. Because Seohyun is at the young age of 18, she can show the audience a fresh image that wasn’t there before.” PD Jung expressed his opinion on Yonghwa, saying, “He’s a cool and charming guy. As expected, although he is young, he plays the role of oppa to Seohyun and plays it well.” PD Jung wants to make this couple successful going into the future. “The two of them are the ones making the relationship. Our job will be to create missions that aren’t too extravagant as to not irk the viewers. Labels: Cnblue, Cnblue : News, Snsd, Snsd : News |

Already known to be one of Korea’s most crowded city, Insadong was extra jam-packed on the 23rd due to a surprise visit by, perhaps, the most anticipated couple of this year. Why, it was none other than Jung Yonghwa and Seohyun of We Got Married, of course! We reported on this special sighting earlier, and the photos have stirred up quite a positive reaction from netizens. The lucky pedestrians who happened to be at Insadong at the moment left various comments about their sighting. ”At first, I thought this couple would totally ruin the show. But I just love them now! So cute!! ^^,” one said; another mentioned, ”I couldn’t believe my own eyes. These two idols definitely make a lovely couple.” One even expressed, ”Haha, they were eating sweet potato pies. Seohyun must’ve been happy.” Only after a few days their last outing date at the amusement park, it seems like the two are getting along pretty well Labels: Cnblue, Cnblue : News, Snsd, Snsd : News |

CNBLUE’s Minhyuk sheds tears about “fake band” accusations CNBLUE’s success has impressed many of our readers not only because they are rookies, but because they are a band. Even though pop music seemingly dominates mainstream music in Korea, CNBLUE has managed to capture a large fanbase of rock fans and kpop listeners. However, it doesn’t look like CNBLUE’s road to success has lacked hardships or bumps along the way. On an upcoming episode of CNBLUETORY set to air on February 24, drummer Minhyuk reportedly teared up when he began talking about his anger and frustration regarding some of the accusations that have surfaced the internet, questioning the musical capabilities of CNBLUE as an idol band. The drummer shed tears, saying, “There are posts on the internet about how CNBLUE didn’t plug in instruments for a performance. We’ve practiced for a few years just to be able to stand in front of the public and perform for everyone … and are prepared each time, and I see posts like these and get hurt. Like singers who dance and singers in general, we band performers similarly went through a long period of practice. We’ve watched videos of live performances by famous musicians and work really hard. There is an attitude towards band singers in our country that puts up a wall that blocks our [bands' ability to] develop and grow. Because of this, I’m hurt and want to break down that barrier. So we’ve made resolutions to work harder.” Minhyuk wasn’t the only one that spoke up about this issue. On this episode, leader Yonghwa reportedly added, “Even though we’ve been receiving a lot of love from fans, there are still people who say, ‘Those kids are in a fake band,’ which is very sad to hear. These words are unfair and difficult to hear. We will have to improve to be accepted as true musicians.” It’s definitely understandable why demeaning comments can really bring down CNBLUE’s spirits. However, I think these young men should keep their heads up, because they’re well on their way to fulfilling their resolutions by showing off their talents and making their presence known. Furthermore, with the help of popular group F.T. Island and the comeback of TRAX, it seems like band-based music is making a return to the music scene. Labels: Cnblue, Cnblue : News |

Lee Hongki sings I’m a Loner like an A.N.JELL In a special guest appearance at a radio show, Lee Hongki sang a brief segment of CNBLUE’s I’m a Loner on-air. The song is actually appropriate for Lee Hongki and Jung Yong Hwa as they were both the supporting actors of the popular SBS drama You’re Beautiful, playing the role of chasing after Go Mi Nam (played by Park Shin Hye), but failing to win her heart at the end. With Lee Hongki’s extraordinary vocal abilities, it was nothing out of the ordinary that he delivered a commendable rendition of CNBLUE’s debut song. Although he struggled a bit with the rapping, his attempt was cute enough to be forgiven easily. Shinwoo hyung would be proud regardless. The public has made friendly comparisons between Lee Hongki and Jung Yong Hwa in the past because of their talents as an actor and a singer of an indie rock band. CNBLUE was even dubbed the next F.T. Island by many as both groups Labels: Cnblue, Cnblue : News, Ft Island, Ft Island : News |

CNBlue fans are angry with the media for creating controversy Remember the couple mistakes of SNSD’s Seohyun and CNBLUE’s Jung Yong Hwa? Well, it seems like Jung Yong Hwa did not make a mistake on Music Bank! No wonder! I watched the performance multiple times looking for the slip-up, and eventually left it to CNBLUE hardcore fans to find it for me! But nothing of that sort really happened. On the 19th, CNBLUE successfully finished performing their debut song, I’m a Loner, without any problems. However, after the performance, many articles saying that ‘Jung Yong Hwa mixed up the lyrics’ or ‘He fumbled the lyrics’ popped up all over the media. Now, after careful review of the performance, it seems like he did not mess up at all! What actually happened on Music Bank was that the other members confused the lyrics, “Sad because of love (사랑에 슬퍼하고)” and “Hurt because of love (사랑에 아파하고)”. The small mistake was not even a big problem and Jung Yong Hwa, the main subject of the controversy, is innocent! A representative of CNBLUE said, “We were shocked by articles saying ‘Jung Yong Hwa’s slip-up’, so we looked into it. He never made a mistake. We believe it was just a happening.” Fans of CNBLUE are furious because the media mistakenly called Jung Yong Hwa out by saying that he mixed up or fumbled the lyrics during the performance on KBS2’s Music Bank. The fans are calling it a conspiracy against CNBLUE! So what happened? Did a reporter get paid by We Got Married to stir up the media before the actual airing of the first episode? Was the reporter too eager to find something Seohyun and Jung Yong Hwa had in common? Was the reporter simply experimenting with the rising popularity of the two idols? I think Jung Yong Hwa should be proud of this incident. It is a sign that even the smallest talk about him will stir up the media. He is now the new ‘issue maker’! Labels: Cnblue, Cnblue : News |

To say that the upcoming Yonghwa-Seohyun couple of We Got Married is highly anticipated would be an understatement; it looks like fangirls & fanboys of the CNBLUE charmer and SNSD maknae are rustled up with excitement or rage, or something in between.
