Kara's Nicole & SHINee's Key sighted together !


Thought Jinwoon and Nicole had a thing? Not even. A couple of pictures taken by a netizen are spreading across the net like wildfire, claiming to be snapshots of KARA’s Nicole and SHINee’s Key walking together on the streets.
Of course, they are in heavy disguise… or at least attempted to be.
The netizen by the name of “GyuriDdaWoom (규리따움)” posted these mysterious pictures at a public blog under the title ‘Nicole and Key’.
The poster included a subtitle explaining that the location was Apgujung-dong, and also assumed that Nicole was in the middle of a study session with Key as a textbook was in her hands. Even with the hats and masks, the netizen was clearly able to tell that the two were none other than Nicole and Key.
Although the pictures seem fishy, the netizens were rather dull in reaction. It turns out that Nicole and Key are known to be close friends, and the two being together in real life isn’t much of a surprise. Nicole herself once approved of her close friendship with Key on the last month’s episode of Strong Heart.
Hm, Nicole plus Key… Nikey, anyone?

Netizens compare KARA’s Nicole before and after figure


It seems like weight and diet has become keywords associated with KARA’s Nicole, judging from the amount of related articles in the past few months.
Lately, netizens have posted another set of photos of Nicole, comparing her past figure against her present figure, showing a vast contrast. The photos have gathered much interest because it shows a slightly plump Nicole when she appeared for KARA’s Starhwabo press conference in December 2009 and another which shows her looking really thin for her Lupin promotions.
Netizens commented, “She really lost a lot of weight,” “I am really concerned about her health and diet,” “I rather see the nice plump figure from before“, “What a surprise, she looks like a different person,” etc.

KARA is jealous of SNSD’s Yoona?
Of her no-makeup face that is.

Girl group KARA picked SNSD’s Yoona as the girl with the prettiest no-makeup face.
On tvN’s Taxi, KARA ranked girl groups with Lee Young Ja and Gong Hyun Jin. Nicole said, “Yoona has the best no-makeup face.” Jiyoung added, “She usually doesn’t wear makeup but still looks gorgeous.”

Then they picked a girl group member they would want to date if they were boys. Gyuri picked f(x)’s Sulli. Gyuri reasoned, “You can just stare at her and she’s lovable.”

Then they went on to talk about some boy drama. They admitted that they’ve been hit on by guys through phone calls. Gyuri said that if she had a boyfriend, she’d want to go to the beach with him. The rest of the members also revealed their perfect dates

KARA Han SeungYeon attempts the bungee jump



KARA Han SeungYeon attempts the bungee jump without hesitation proving her nickname of ‘fearless idol’.

On MBC Infinite Challenge aired on 20th March, SeungYeon attempted the bungee jump at 55m tall showing no fear. As she jumped she even shouted “KARA daebak! I love you!”.

Han SeungYeon revealed that she had always wanted to try bungee jumping out and she seemed like she enjoyed herself after the jump.

KARA accused as terrorists at the airport?


On an episode of Strong Heart that’s set to air on the 23rd, Kara’s Nicole and Goo Hara revealed that they have been searched at the airport for bombs.


“Recently, we were searched at the airport because someone reported that there was a bomb in one of the Kara member’s bags.

They continued,

“Not too long ago, we had went to the airport for our Japanese promotions during our preparation for Lupin. We were waiting at the airport to board the plane when we got a call from the airport officials saying, ‘There’s a suspicious item that looks like a bomb in one of the Kara member’s bag.”

All the members were reportedly scared to death while security checks were being made, and the object that was reported as a bomb was actually found in the bag.

KARA’s Jiyoung and Yoon Eun Hye are tweeting away



A lot of Korean celebrities have been joining the Twitter world these days, right? The KARA members started with Gyuri creating one, followed by Nicole and then Goo Hara. Now, Han Seung Yeon is the only member without one because our maknae Jiyoung has made one as well!


I guess she wanted to be like her unnies and get closer with her fans because she recently created her own little Twitter. Though she’s only tweeted once yet, let’s hope she’ll tweet away for our enjoyment. Check her out at her Twitter.

Though there hasn’t been an official confirmation, it’s quite obvious since Hara and SohnPD is following her.

Also in the Twitter scene is Yoon Eun Hye. She created hers a few days ago but it hasn’t really become known to the public yet. There are a lot of fake accounts for Yoon Eun Hye out there but this one seems real because she is following her close friend and photo manager, Erinbebe. Also, her picture seems relatively new and hasn’t really been seen anywhere else. Check out Yoon Eun Hye here!

Neither of them have been active on Twitter yet but that’s how everyone starts out. Soon, they will become addicts like the rest of us!

Goo Hara aiming to become a licensed farming vehicle operator



Girl group Kara’s Goo Hara is working hard to obtain her license to drive farming vehicles.
As an active G7 member of KBS Invincible Youth, Hara is challenging herself to become a licensed farming vehicle operator through this program.
According to related sources, despite her busy schedule, Hara has been studying agriculture during her spare time for this upcoming exam. With this, it is planned that this idol will practice driving the farm vehicles during the beginning of April.
Best of luck on passing the test, but she’ll most likely do well with her determination, which was why she got the nod over the other G7 members.

Nicole suspects thievery among Kara members


It looks like Goo Hara isn’t the only fishy member in female idol group Kara. On the recent episode of KBS 2TV’s Sweet Night, Kara made a guest appearance and Nicole shared a story about thievery among the group.


On the show, Nicole said, “I have always liked to collect lotions and perfumes as a hobby. An unni of mine from the states brought me lotion as a present and because I didn’t want to waste it, I didn’t use it. Several months later, I wanted to use the lotion but half of it was gone… Because I am a bit timid, I didn’t ask the members who used it. Even until today, I still haven’t caught the thief.”

In response, fellow Kara member and leader Park Gyuri pointed her finger (metaphorically) at Goo Hara and jokingly stated, “Hara did smell good.”

In defense, Goo Hara commented, “Because I have the same brand of lotions, I don’t use any other kind. And I don’t even look at other people’s things.” She later added, “Am I supposed to say that it was me?” causing everyone to laugh.

Whether Nicole’s lotion was lost or stolen, I’m sure she’s over it as the Kara members are practically sisters. I guess now we can assume who Nicole is referring to during her part in Lupin: “It’s mine. It’s mine. This is mine. This is mine.”

Goo Hara is in a school textbook?


Did you know that a photo of Goo Hara, the doll-faced member of KARA, is in a school textbook?


Recently, on various internet portal sites, many posted up a picture titled, ‘Goo Hara when she was in a middle school textbook’. On the introduction page of a chapter titled, ‘Adolescents’ Friendship with Opposite Sex’ you can see Goo Hara smiling alongside a male student.

Netizens are saying that Goo Hara’s cute and fresh image was evident even when she was young. Unlike other celebrities’ childhood photos, this photo shows that Goo Hara did not change at all!

Many who saw the photos are leaving positive remarks, such as, “She looks the same as right now” “That’s so funny. Where can I buy the textbook?” “I want to study again with that textbook” and more.

If only we knew that girl on the page was going to be part of a hot idol group… maybe some of us would have studied!

Goo Hara to leave KARA for…





Lots of money! Or so she says. On the upcoming episode of KBS 2TV’s Sweet Night, Goo Hara admitted that next to money, KARA doesn’t stand a chance!


On this episode, set to air on the 28th, KARA made a special guest appearance along with comedian Nam Hee Suk.

During the show, Nam Hee Suk transformed into ‘Nam Bodhisattva’ as he attempted to predict the future of the girls. Nam Hee Suk, who has filmed Invincible Youth with Goo Hara, commented, “I predict that Goo Hara will make a betrayal.”

After surprising everyone with this statement, he went on to add, “One time, I asked Goo Hara, ‘Would you resign from KARA if someone paid you 4.2 billion KRW?’ She naively answered, ‘Of course I’ll resign!’”

Poor Goo Hara was embarrassed by this statement that was brought up by Nam Hee Suk but I’m sure she was just joking around at that time.

KARA reveals secret behind their bodies

Celebrities do not get their gorgeous figures with just a snap of the finger; they actually have to work hard more than anyone else to maintain it. All of the members of KARA have great bodies, and they manage to keep healthy. What is their secret to this? Well, these ladies have finally revealed their diet plan to the public so that you guys to have a great body like theirs too!

As you can notice, the song that lead the group to fame, Pretty Girl, had a very cute concept. Lupin took a 180 degree turn, as they came back with the sexy look. But to pull this off, the girls had to go on a strict diet. The group said, “After finishing our promotions for Honey, we went on a diet. We can’t have the cute concept forever.”

The diet for each member is similar with a few different details tweaked for each member. Reducing the intake of carbohydrates and eating foods with high vitamins is a must and they usually eat chicken breast and sweet potatoes for dinner. Member Nicole wakes up early in the morning to pack her own lunch. She said, “I take note of the calories I take in for each meal. This is the most effective way to control how much you eat. Anyone can succeed if they try and stick to it.”

For the members, dance practice makes up the most of their exercise.

The group then said, “No one forces us to take care of our bodies. Since it is our job, we want to look good to the public, so we do it with our own will.”

KARA’s Lupin music video unleashed!

KARA’s finally back!




After generating much interest with their mysterious stealer concept & MV teaser, this pop quintet has finally released their full music video for their comeback track Lupin. Only minutes after T-ara’s MV teaser release, KARA is also presenting a dark concept of their own.
KARA sweetened up fans with Honey then shook their ways (literally) to the top with Mister, so I’m sure that Lupin won’t disappoint fans either.
