[New Balance USA Limted] MBLAQ mark senses with 'My style of N'



SEOUL, Korea (AVING) -- Sports brand New Balance (www.nbkorea.com) had a party in early April at the Chung Dam Dong Gallery Face for the anniversary of their premium line "New Balance UK, USA Limited Line."

At this day's party, the male group that is really popular these days, MBLAQ, also came. Each member showed off the New Balance sneakers with their own style and appeal which caused a lot of attention.

To cash in on the upcoming Fifa World Cup 2010 in South Africa and to generate excitement among the soccer-mad public in Korea, MTV Korea has created a special program where male idol group members form a soccer team and compete against five other soccer teams who sign up for this online. The program will air from May 22nd.

The 14-member team for MTV’s Idol United listed on their website:

- Seungho, Mir, Lee Joon (MBLAQ)
- Soohyun, Eli (U-Kiss)
- Dongjoon, Hyungshik, Heechul (ZE:A)
- LeeU, Kan, Jinon (F.cuz)
- Garam, Hyunmin, Injoon (D-NA)

Never mind the soccer, that’s one good looking soccer team!

MBLAQ’s G.O. shaves his facial hair!


Last week, we revealed the news of MBLAQ’s upcoming comeback in April. In the midst of preparations for their comeback, the five-member boy band was seen sporting new hairstyles, which, we speculated, were for their new image.


G.O, who has had a mustache and a goatee since MBLAQ’s debut, confessed that he would shave his facial hair in time for the group’s impending comeback. We were able to see a photoshopped image of his face without facial hair, but now we’ve got the real deal.

On March 24th, the quintet appeared as the guests of Park Kyung Lim’s Starry Night Radio. Through footage of the boys’ visit, we found that G.O. is clean-shaven! Although the quality of the video isn’t that great, we can catch a glimpse of G.O. dressed in his hoodie and a cap, with no facial hair.

MBLAQ’s Thunder is next on MNET Scandal



Just like M! Countdown which disappeared from our screens last year without a word and got resurrected last month, MNET has bought back the controversial program, MNET Scandal which fangirls especially have a love-hate relationship (for various reasons) with it for the second season.


And if you didn’t know, MNET Scandal pairs up a celebrity and a lucky girl (or guys for female celebrities) where they will act like a real dating couple.

The first guest shown last week was actor, Choi Phillip which no one seemed to care about. But the upcoming guest is sure to rile some feathers.


He is none other than MBLAQ’s Thunder who will be the first idol star on this season and joins an illustrious list of idol group members who have been on the show last season. From the pictures below, we can concur that they went to an amusement park and there was no shortage of skinship between them.

MBLAQ’s Lee Joon sucks up to Rain?


On a recent episode of SBS ‘Quiz to Change the World,’ MBLAQ’s Lee Joon confessed that he tends to act differently around his boss Rain / Bi.



When MC Lee Kyung Kyu asked, “Have you ever sucked up to your sunbae so as to appear nice?”, Lee Joon replied, “The term ’sucking up’ is harsh. However, whenever Rain is around, I always smile excessively and bow even more politely. I formally ask questions like, ‘Have you eaten yet?’”


Although Lee Joon may be guilty of flattering his boss, we all know that his talent alone suffices in leaving a lasting impression on viewers, Rain included. Besides, doesn’t everyone appreciate a good flattery from time to time?

MBLAQ’s Mir and Lee Joon in a pillow fight?


MBLAQ’s maknae member Mir will have a pillow fight with his fellow group member and hyung, Lee Joon!


During the upcoming episode of MBC Every1’s Idol Army – Season 5, the members of MBLAQ played a pillow fighting game in which the participants sat on a cylindrical object which rotated during the game.


The fun began when MC Shin Bong Sun asked Mir to choose which member he had the most complaints about and wanted to face in this game, so Mir shouted, “Come here Lee Joon!” Lee Joon, who is three years older than Mir, was surprised. Lee Joon replied, “I also have lots of complaints built up towards you.”

Dongho, Eli, Thunder and Key to host a new variety show


Idol groups’ finest, U-Kiss’ Dongho and Eli, Shinee’s Key, and Mblaq’s Thunder will all be getting together as hosts for a new variety show.




This new show, Raising an Idol, will be shown through a cable channel and the first filming is set for the 5th.


In response to the news of this new variety show, fans have been commenting, “What kind of program is ‘Raising an Idol’?” “It’s not another program where they date girls, right?” and “I’m looking forward to seeing them on a variety show.”

A representative stated, “Dongho, Eli, Key, and Thunder have been chosen as Raising an Idol’s members. Raising an Idol will be a reality program where these idol stars will be using their knowledge and skills. We believe that the members will do well despite their young age, because they have a lot of talent.”

The boys of MBLAQ have provided a high quality track for The Artist (Jo Deok Bae 25th Anniversary Album). The track is titled 그대 내 맘에 들어오면은 / If you come into my heart and features an artist by the name of C-Luv.


This track sounds awesome, very smooth and catchy. When MBLAQ makes their comeback I hope the music sounds like this.

MBLAQ’s Lee Joon takes it off for High Cut



Rain and Thunder might have taken the fashion world by storm with their chic magazine photoshoots, but MBLAQ member Lee Joon took things up a notch with his sexy shoot for High Cut magazine.



Lee Joon never fails to get fangirls swooning with a flash of his abs during performances, so this spread will be a real treat for them. While he doesn’t necessarily take it all off, the performer does an excellent job of showing the fangirls what they want.
