SS501 teases their comeback with album jacket photos!

SS501’s company DSP Entertainment announced that the boys would be making the first step of their comeback on May 1st. Well, unlike other singers, they kept their promise and didn’t postpone the date. Luckily for fans, they released individual teaser photos just in time.
Seeing as these are album jacket photos for their upcoming album, it definitely reveals a lot about their new concept. Supposedly, this concept is the “Hannibal Lector concept.” Those face masks are quite something, aren’t they?
Moments before the photos’ release, SS501 member Kim Kyu Jong even wrote on their official website, “There’s not much time left~”
The photos are a bit scary and you can barely distinguish who’s who, but at the same time, they are sexy in a mysterious way. The website’s server is already down which shows that their new album is already receiving a hot response from the public.

Kim Hyun Joong’s fans donate one million won


SS501 Kim Hyun Joong’s fan club titled “Precious Kim Hyun Joong and Exciting Fandom” has donated 1 million KRW (approx. $880 USD) as well as 105 home-knitted hats to Save the Children.


The fan club stated, “We are thankful to be connected to Kim Hyun Joong, and we are happy that we were able to do something good together. [...] We are proud to be able to do something good in the name of our favorite star. In the future, we will continue contributing to the society as a fan.”


Recently, a fan club of SNSD’s Taeyeon also donated 3.2 million KRW (approx. $2820 USD) to celebrate the member’s birthday.

It’s great to see fans doing something great to help out, whether it’d be helping the society or the star itself!

SS501 to make comeback on May 1st!


SS501 just recently wrapped up their final encore concert on February 27, but it looks like they’ve already got their eyes set on their upcoming return, which is set for, well, 05-01-2010. (Get it??)


Daesung Entertainment, the quintet’s agency, has yet to decide whether SS501’s comeback will come in the form of a mini-album or full-album release. However, the confirmed 501 Day comeback has already gotten fans rustling in excitement.

With their REBIRTH mini-album release last fall, the members’ individual activities as well as the group’s pan-Asian tour, in which the young men visited Seoul (Korea), Tokyo (Japan), Taipei (Taiwan), Shanghai (China) and Hong Kong (China), SS501 has been quite busy for a while, but that isn’t stopping them from making May 1 an extra-special day for their fans.

The young men of SS501 have reportedly already begun working on this album and will return with a completely new image, so I’m sure it’ll turn out to be something great for all of us eager kpop fans; stay tuned!

SS501 holds a successful concert ~


SS501 held an encore concert for their Asia tour in Seoul tonight and it was a success. Not only did Kara and Rainbow (members of the DSP Entertainment family) join them but they also pleased fans whose ages ranged from teens to 50-year-olds. Many international fans came out all the way to Korea just to see these boys.


SS501 said, “We had a great Asia tour for six months in eight countries. We wanted to thank you guys because this was all possible because of you.”

They sang Deja Vu, A Song Calling For You, U R Man, Love Like This, Snow Prince and more. Special guest Kara wowed the crowd with their newest track Lupin and their hit Mister.

SS501 said at the press conference before the concert, “Because of this Asia tour, we matured a lot. I think you will be able to tell from the solo stages.”

Kim Hyung Joon sang Take Care by Jung Yup and Girls. Kim Kyu Jong sang Never Let U Go, Park Jung Min sang Don’t Do That. Heo Young Saeng sang Our Memories and Find. It showed a new side of him because he showed off his rapping skills.

Kim Hyun Joong’s solo stage was very memorable. He came on to stage on a motorcycle and sang Please Be Good To Me and did a sexy dance with a girl back dancer. I’m sure the fans liked that a lot!

SS501 said to their fans, “We missed you all. Thank you for waiting. We will come back with a second album so please get excited.”

For the end of the concert, they came out in t-shirts and casual attire and really had fun with themselves and their fans. The best news for fans is that they are supposedly making a comeback in May! That’s just around the corner.
